    Hobart 187 cover

    Greetings,

Purchased a new Hobart 187 last week! Looking for a good cover for this welder at reasonable price. Any suggestions?

    TIA,

I've gotten a couple of emails from "FUN4NOW" regarding some pretty nice covers for the 187 and they seem reasonably priced. You might want to take a look at what he's got.

I went to the local WallyWorld and bought 2 yds of canvas. I sweet talked the wife into stitching the sides of it together like a big sack and it works great. I have less than $3.00 invested and I can't see how it could work any better for my uses.

    Good luck,
    Mike

I don't think he has had a chance to make one yet since the 187 is so new.

    Hi Ed.
Yeah, he's got em. He sent me a couple of pics just last evening. They look good and appear to match the machine quite nicely, but they're not listed on his Ebay site yet. If ya email him and he'll get back to ya. Usually, he's on here but not seen him in a couple of days.

There is a cover available for the Handler 187. The part number is 195186. The cover will be shown on the specification sheet of the H187. You can download the specification sheet from the Products section of the website.

    Hey Chris

I've gotten a cover from Fun4now and love it! I've got one coming from him for the HH 187 and could post a few pictures of it if you want? They make excellent stuff and would recommend them!

Please post the pics. His price is about the same as the Hobart one and I'm wondering if one is better than the other.

I also just purchased a 187 (yesterday) this is the first welder I have owned.
I was thinking about a small gas grill cover from Wally World, that
Way I can also cover the portable stand as well.

sorry guys, the house is full of children with the flue. not a prity sight.
we do have the 187 its the same as the 140/180 cover.so the cover you posted the link to will work on the new 187's just as well as the old 180's.
i designed all our covers to be operator frendly, i have the miller equivlent of the hobart cover for my MM135, i have not used it in years. i realy dont care for the fit or the way it treats the hise and power cord when on.so i just went without a cover for a long time. when i could not find a cover for my new TA-185 the wife steped in and we started making covers, so i designed a beter option. the site is way out of date as we have all been buisy trying to deal with 2 verry sick kids spewing in all directions. one is better the other is getting there, i hope to get the site updated soon. feel free to e-mail me directly if you would like and i can shoot you pic's of the cover we made for the 187. and anser any of your questions to the best of my ability. its just the wife and i making them so quality is our first priority.
    thanks for the help
    or
    hope i helped
