I'll bet there's alot of guys (and gals) here who'd make it for you, to your liking, but I don't know what it'd cost to ship it.

Use the bar off your free weights for a chinning bar. All you need is a couple supports to hang it in when you are using it that way and giving it double duty makes less stuff in the way when it's not getting used.

In a pinch, you could probably put one together with 3/4" galvanized 'screw pipe' from home Depot.

4 pieces about 4 foot long for the base. Screw 2 of them into a 'T' that was pointing up.
2 Pieces 6' or so long for the uprights that screw into the 'T's.

2 '90-s' on the top of the uprights, and a 4 foot long bar between them for the pull up bar itself.

Another option with screw together plumbing pipe is to get 2 10' lengths for the uprights, put a '90' on each one, the bar inbetween, and sink the 2 ends in the ground. Seems like that's all we had at Parris Island back in '73.

Sounds like what he is really looking for is........

Someone to build it for him, to his specs, and deliver it to him at no charge.

I don't see him asking for that anywhere.......It's just like anything you gather all the info you can then step back and see what is best for you at that time.
