    Help with Pullup Bar

Can someone, anyone help in pointing me in the right direction of getting a pull up bar welded? I love the type that are at Marine Corp Recruiting Stations and Camps. However after getting in touch with those stations it was said that Marine Supply Stations provide each location with Pullup Bars and that for anyone wanting there own would have to go through Schools or other means. I'm lost. I've seen the simple door way types sold at Sport stores, but I'm looking for something a little more stable. Yet and fit into a normal size garage. Picky huh (smile). Please help a ex-marine in need. I have attached a picture of the type of Pullup Bar in reference. Thanks and I can be emailed with questions at oscar.fluellen@lmit.com

Where are you located? If you're around Los Angeles, no problem.

Another alternative is to bolt or screw in to the garage ceiling Joists and hang the bar from the ceiling so you don't have such a large foot print taking up space in the garage with something like in your Pic.

Send an email or PM to wroughtnharv. He is in Texas and has lots of contacts in that area. If he can't personally do the work for you, I'd bet he knows someone who can.

Unless someones builds what you want fer cheap this ain't a bad price, as ya get more options.

edit: I thought it was 100.00, but it's actually 60 bux- Now that is a steal.

Oscar, if ya haven't made a contact to build or buy a chin bar, pm me, we'll see what we can come up with, I'm only a hop, skip and a sixpack for downtown Houston.
    Good luck

I have a lot of leads in which I am thankful for. However ideally the attachment or something close to it is what I would prefer. Again, as helpfully as you guys are I wish I had became a welder after I got out of the Corp
