    My First Projects

    Ok you guys,
    Thank you so much for all your answers. All of them contributed to my starting point in the welder hobby. I just finished building my table, chop saw stand, and welder cart (by the way Dave Haak I owe myself building the cantilever model that you so kindly explained to me, but I was in such a hurry that I could not devote too much time to it) Here are some pictures for you to grade.

    Very nice work Alfredo. You have have done some beautiful work. I am curious as to why the shelf that the welder sits on slopes instead of being level. I am anxious to build my own cart and trying to pick up ideas.

    The shelf slopes so it is easier to see and reach the welder's controls. It is just for lazy people like me

    Yes, it is a trim that I put on the wall, so I do not scratch my car's door against the wall

    Great work!!

    You'll still need another cart for your plasma cutter.....it could be the cantilever design.

    those are sharp! no doubt about it you've put in some good usefull practice.

    See, I signed up for this tig class at the comunity colledge. It's rather depressing. They are set up to weld, that's it. nobody makes ANYTHING. They just weld up stacks of crap and trow it in the scrap dumpster. They have a nice shear, but that's IT!

    So I show up on the second day with a porta band, a grinder, layout tools, magnetic angles, clamps, carts, drill, bolts, wheels, hand truck, etc.....

    and leave with a torch tank cart, and tig cart with new shelves.

    If I'm going to sweat for 4 hours I'm darn well going to have something to show for it.

    Excellent work, Alfredo...well thought out, and practical. With that chop saw table you need some device that will support long pieces. No need for me to suggest what...you probably already have a design in mind.

ALSO ALL OF OUR STUFF IS EITHER DARK GREEN OR GRAY.................... I THINK I WILL BUY SOME PAINT AND BRUSH'S AND GIVE TO MY BROTHERS TO PAINT BENCH'S, RACK.S, VICE'S,...........     Nice job on the cart, I too like my machines angled, it adds to the design and make life a lot better for the back.

    What is the color, safety yellow?

    I like to use as my son says "South Of The Border Green"
