This is the ad copy from one company: "N100 is well suited for those who want NIOSH's highest rated filtration efficiency in a maintenance free respirator. It provides a minimum filter efficiency of 99.97% against non-oil based particles. This respirator is an excellent choice for lead abatement, pharmaceutical manufacturing, welding, metal pouring and work involving substance specific particles."

I note that Cyberweld sells both at approximately the same price point. But the N95 is sold as a 10 pack for $60.30 and the N100 is sold individually for $7.25. The 3M half-face from these guys is pretty popular, though, for welding. It uses what are P100 filters: http://store.cyberweld.com/brpr.html

that 3M "welding respirator" can be bought at any local autobody/paint store. everyone has them in stock. it has a whole list of things in the sack it can be used for from welding to grinding/sanding and sanding body filler and fiberglass. i have used them for 5+ years and they work really good. i think it actually says bodyman respirator on the package. i hope that helps
