Where to BUY This silver solder

I need some silver solder. It MUST be BAg-24 Anyone have a source that is reasonable. I will be using it to silver solder bandsaw blades together. As it stands, the local supplier want around $20 per Troy ounce.

Haven't got a good source for you, but keep in mind silver prices are at their highest in something like 22 years... it's gonna be more spendy wherever you find it...

I paid about $16 an oz. abot 2 years ago. $20 sounds about right considering the way all metals have increased in price. I would buy local and notworry about it. That 1 oz. should last a long time on bandsaw blades unless you are making them up for a living.

I do usually support the local supplier(s) preferably Praxair (great customer service), but I don't like the supplier I had to order from which is why I was wanting to find it elsewhere.

As for number of blades I will be making, I bought nearly 400ft of high quality Lennox blade that is 3/4" in size. I use a horizontal DoAll saw a lot and I abuse the blades I run despite having a great coolant set up. So, I will be making quite a few blades at a time.

    Thanks, Grant
