i use the cheap wal-mart brand cooking spray. works good for me. i also spray it on the metal i am welding and the splatters fall right off.

If it don't fit, force it. If it breaks, you needed a new one anyway.

    Pitjeep,

Check your setup. I don't have much in the way of spatter, even with COČ. If you're running flux-core, take the nozzle off! If you want to use a spray, the chapest cooking spray will work fine, like Ike says.

National welding, and I'm sure others, have a house brand. $2.00 for a 16oz can. Cheap enough for me.

****, I knew there had to be some advantage living in a town where it take 20 min to drive two miles in bumper to bumper traffic everyday. You get to buy spatter shield for $2.00 a can.
