    ArcOne TIG/stick

Dose anyone have a 100 amp ArcOne tig/stick welder? I called the distributor and they said the machine is manufactured off-shore and they havn't had any compliants in two years since the switched manufacturers. They said the previous model...I guess the same amprere...was nothing but headaches. I guess it was unrealiable.

I have been looking for a TIG welder that would steel weld up to .062. I was looking to weld thin material and no alum. I already have a millermatic 175 mig welder that works great on the thicker material but I have some difficultly welder thin material. I wanted to void spending 1000 dolars on a TIG welder that is going to be used part-time.

Dose anyone have an Arcone tig/stick welder (100 amp) and if so what is your impression. Have you had any problem with it?

    Thanks
    Ed

I don't have one but I have tig welded with one. Tig welding thin material with no remote amperage control is difficult. I would suggest asking the distributor (if they are local) if you could try one out first. As an overall machine it is a decent unit for its intended purposes, a small 110v stick welder that can also tig. Best of luck, BW

i do own one and i love it. its called the arcone I100sts. it is a ver good machine except for the fact that you cannot upgrade to a foot or hand amporal

Also no problems at all but if it's stored in damp areas it will run like crap for the first 10minutes.
