    Painted Caterpillar

    I followed DDa's suggestion and did the hotoil, then painted over it. The jury's still out on the "handlebars", they'll be easy enough to chop off, should I decide to do so.

    Its the end of aDodge Diesel tailpipe ( I have the whole system, pulled off for a Banks Turbo install). Its 29" long. I guess I'll relocate the "handlebars" to another position, like this, perhaps...

    That looks great! Did you use the plasma to make the segments?

    Nope. Just paint. Really took my time...like 20 minutes total for the paint job (not counting the dry time for the "Grabber Green"). The hot oil part before that took about 5 minutes. This critter only took about an hour to cobb up to the raw metal state. I seldom know what I'm going to end up with once I start. Its kinda like doodling with metal!
