    Not always Art Cars

One friend helpin another fix a little exhaust problem.
...and that friend didn't want to listen about puttin some pants on- if ya notice he's got short sox and shorts on- guess where the little hot pieces are going to land?

The best part about these scenarios is I ain't the one doin' the stupid stuff

I get to drink the beer, take the pics and make the smartasss commentary.

and the second pic, well ya just have to live with some friends and their ride of choice

    Broc,

I nearly killed myself once on a motorcycle with a backpack. A small pack is OK, but I had loaded up a big pack with groceries ... The first turn I took, that backpack wanted to keep going straight and just about ripped me offa the seat.

I know your friend is just goofing around, but it brought back memories!

That $2.00 Jack Stand extended out all the way makes me nervous...but when gas gets to about $5.00 a gallon, that bike will start looking real fine!!

Yeah, the backpack was going in the Jeep. I tried the "messenger" style bag one time and that was an Episode of Good Idea Bad idea

It's those quick little rides that always gets you, ain't it?.

I remember gas at 19 cents, today coming back from Eastern Ohio, it was $2.50 for reg unleaded. That S&c#s. I have grocery baskets on my mountain bike, so I maybe using that bike one of these days soon. I used to ride about 3 miles to the store and load up my mountain bike with 40 to 50 pounds of food and ride it back home. That wasn't when I was kid and cars had horsepower, that was 5 years ago practicing for the Triathlon. I finished the race.

second, who's the cutie wit' the long hair? the '60's are over man!

like we used to say back then: Jack looks like Jill, and Jill smells like a john.

I'm with Hotfoot, that jack arrangement made me cringe. But, as Broccoli points out, I'm not the one doing the stupid stuff. Maybe if the timing is right, the sparks from the now uncontrolled welder will seal up the blood gushing out of the crushed leg.

I took a piece of 2" square tube that fits into the receiver hitch, cut a slit into one side (the bottom in use) so it would fit over the tongue of the Highlift, drilled holes in the sides to allow me to bolt it through the tonge. Then I drilled a hole to allow a receiver hitch pin to capture the tube. Now, I jack the back of the truck up with the Highlift pinned into the hitch. It can't pop off. Cheap, easy, and works very well.

    Pumpkin,

That alley just got paved- was pretty bad and rough before that. That "Wheel Chair" was great for that terrain and it has a brake on the back wheels to keep it from rolling away on ya.

****, I'm just happy to see that they thought to use jack stands at all.

For my own knowlege, is there an acceptable height to extend a jack stand? At what point is it considered unsafe? 1/4 extended, 1/2 extended, 3/4 extended, etc. I personally release the tension on the jack until the vehicle weight is on the jack stand (regardless of extension height) and then leave the jack in place as a back-up.

Is there a better way? Always looking for opinions (and I sometimes find knowlege) .
