Whats up,
Those hoses are there for the pcv valve, they are pcv heater hoses thats the pcv valve there and coolant hoses run around it to prevent the pcv system from freezing , hope this helps
I did find some references to heated pcv valves also a heater for the throttle body. The pcv valve on this is "supposedly buried at the rear of the intake manifold and is hard to replace". I have a picture in my CD shop manual but it was drawn by a 1st grader and doesn't give a clue as to the location.
I have a 69 Mustang that I am considering turning into a daily driver. No plastic engine parts and I know exactly where the pcv valve is.![]()
the pcv valve is in the back of the left side valve cover. its a bit of a pain to replace.
qctech, is there any chance that it is in the hose on the rear of the valve cover? I pulled on it but I didn't want to pull to hard on plastic stuff. A 2002 Explorer picture seems to show it there. Thanks
The hose slips off the back and the valve is threaded in the cover it is plastic and must be removed carefully it only takes about 3/4 of a turn and its out. If you change it I highly recommend you get one from the dealer and probably only availiable there.
Thanks qctech![]()
