Any comments good or bad on the I-Head ball joint torch? My old set up was a sycrowave 180 and weldcraft flex neck 150A torch. I sold it now am foaming at the mouth over the dynasty 200 DX for the portability and the fact it can take on any imput voltage. I have always used a gas lense set up but have never had the pyrex cups. do these help in any way and where is a good place to get them? All comments are welcome on any part of this setup. Im pretty set on the 200dx but am still open minded on the torch and other accessories. Thanks, KP
I use a Tig torch with a 70 deg. angled head. Occasionally I've had trouble welding in tight corners with it. A pencil torch might have served me well in those situations. I looked at Weldtec's 50 degree "I-Head" torch and felt that it would suit my needs as its head swivels over a range from almost 0 to 50 degrees. If its seals remained gas tight, a torch like this could be left attached to my welder all the time. After requesting a quotation on this particular model, I was shocked to discover that it lists for over $400! It looks like I'll have to buy a pencil torch and perhaps invest in some quick cable disconnects.

Tig Depot carries the complete CK line. Items that he does not show on his web page can be ordered if you give him a call. CK Wordlwide has great .pdf pages with the torch breakdowns and the correct part numbers for each catagory of torch.
The pyrex is nice in tight places as you can see through to your weld.
$400 is on the high side! I was interested in the ball joint deluxe model the comes with 3 heads. It looks like a real nice setup. I will post a price when I get it for those who may be interested.
