    Forney stick welders....

Are they any good? I did another clean up job for a farmer( voluntered he has no family left) and he has an old Forney stick welder that i can have if i want it. It has about 20 spots to put the stinger lead in with verying amp ranges. I believe 300 was the max amperage.Paint looks new it is a red color and weighs about 150 pounds.

Seems like in the past there have been some positive comments about them. For the price why not go for it.

    Migster,

It's a GOOD ole' weldin' machine! Forney and red tombstones are a lot alike. Heck, if it's free, grab it up! Always nice to have a big burner in case of major needs!

    Get your Brother in Law

You will find it weighs over 150 lb.
XMT 300CC/CV (yes it still works)
Bobcat 225, Hobart Hefty CC/CV wire feeder, Profax spool gun,Victor & Smith O/A, Lincoln Tombstone(sold), Airco HF box (old Miller) MM175, IR 4KW gen set,all paid for, all work. My newest addition MM130 salvaged from a Kitrina flood area. Cleaned up and works great. . Just added a Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC, total cost to repair both less than $200.00, they both work great...another Katrina cast off.

If it works maybe i'll give it away too,I really have no need for a stick welder.Thats why i gave Tanner my other one.
If it works we may be having another give away.

Try to handle it as gently as possible. If you bang it around it might damage the varnish insulation in the coils. These are the welders we had when I was in high school shop class circa 1966/67. Good ol' machines. Enjoy it.

    Have a great day,
    Doc

Misrepresentation sucks! It should have been adverised as a "Forney Stuck & Welded", not a "Forney Stick Welder"!

Forgive me. ****tail hour started at 5.
