Protection of Auto Dark Helmets

Is there any precautions you should take with your helmet as far as leaving it outdoors in an unheated shop? (Winter tempatures )

Mine is supposed to be adjustable from 9-13, but when it get's below 0, it seems to lock in at 13....a tad annoying, so you may want to heat things up for a bit before using it.
