    O/a ?

I am in the market for a light duty - med duty o/a kit. I am looking at Victor and Smith.. LHas any one used either of these brands? Is Smith worth the extra cash?

I have never used a Smith but you can't go wrong with a Victor. Just shop by a welding supply and see which parts are hanging on the wall.

They are both premium torches. Smiths is the only American made anymore I think, but I like Victors tip seals soooooo much better. The packings on Smiths give a lot of people problems, they get overtightened. I also like the nature of the preheat adjustment on Victors better. I have both by the way. One of my X girlfriends had me pick out a torch for her husband for Christmas this year, Victor Super Range, on sale at about 200 but lacked a couple tips that come with clones, but he can get them if he needs to and I liked the quality better than the knockoffs.
