    Different Settings

    Just playing with different settings on my HH 135 today. Side angles sure makes the mess flux-core leaves even more visible

    Hobart Handler 135
    Flux-cored 0.030
    1/4" test material

    Various settings, from left to right:

    Tap 1 - Wire Feed 10
    Tap 2 - Wire Feed 20
    Tap 3 - Wire Feed 30
    Tap 4 - Wire Feed 40
    Tap 4 - Wire feed 70
    Tap 4 - Wire Feed 100 (obviosly not enough heat

    metalfab, knock of the slag & wire brush.... then tilt plate toward lens to give better view of weld. Hope this helps, Paul

    Hi paul,

    The slag is not there, atleast, not on the weld itself. I took the photo just to should the height difference.

    I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I'm just a rookie at wire welding.

    I have yet to run any flux core. Is that much spatter to be expected with it? I guess that is the point you are making.

    Your weld beads look nice and straight.

    Thats about half the splatter shown in the photo, remember also that I ran the 6 beads about 1" apart so there would be more splatter than normal.
