I have a machine that uses railroad tracks to move a tank of water under an oven. It's a quench furnace. without getting too technical, this wheel of the car passes over an area that has worn down, causing the car to hesitate when the wheel moves over this low spot in the track. The fix is to build up with weld the low spot in the track and grind it flush. Simple.
The question is, what stick rod to use, or could I use my flux core E71-t11, and would there be a special procedure to follow. The track is high carbon steel.
