I have a Hobart auto change hood that quit working. I think it had a bad rechargable battery. After asking on this board what I could do to get it serviced Steve emailed me a said to send in the lens. After inspecting it he would see what could be done. The hood was fairly new and hardly used because I have several others.
About two weeks after sending my old lens I recieved a new one. Not only a new one but a better "upgraded model" . This new one has a replaceable battery, adjustable sensitivity and adjustable delay.
