View Full Version : Bending Jigs- different diameters

Another idea from old Lincoln Stabilizers:

See attached image of jigs on storage stand.

Put bottom leg of jig in vise. Wedge end of piece to be bent between outside of cylinder and the square angled post. This holds the end. Use oxy-acetylene and start heating near the post. Heat and bend as you go. Reposition bend at post, if needed or if making something other than a circle (ring). If making a ring, go past (lap over,above) starting point. The first inch or so tends to be straight. This can be cut off and wasted.
