I'm having trouble pulling my v groove horiziontal welds. I can push fine, but when I pull it I get a little roll at the bottom. any suggestions?

I'm not an expert but I know one will ask you; what's the material, what machine, and what is the machine settings?:D How much is the stickout? Also, if you can show us a picture. But just the basics will probably give them a place to start.

Hi El Soldadore;
What do you mean by "a little roll at the bottom"?
I did a couple of test pieces on some 1/4 scrap. Not the best, but maybe you can tell us where your roll at the bottom is located.
MM 175 set at 5.5/65 on 1/4 steel-beveled, using Lincoln Innershield NR-211MP .035 dia.

the roll is at the bottom it mainly happens when I cap the fillet welds.
