My 10 year old craftsman 4.5" grinder is dying a slow death... any recommendations, cautions, warnings about other brands.. I definately want a paddle switch type and I want to stay with 4.5"...got lots of disc already...
I'm leaning toward the 8 amp Milwaukee for 99.00 at Lowes unless someone knows something better ??
thanks
John

John, not to side-step your question, but there's tons of info on grinders here, just do a search on 'grinders' and you'll get more than you ever wanted to know.:D
I like a 5" grinder...more power, and speed.

I got the Milwaukee 4.5 " and it has worked great. Like Rocky said there is a ton of stuff on grinders if you do a search. I know I had the same questions about 2 months ago.

I've been using a Hitachi 4.5 inch grinder that I got from Lowes, that I really like. It has the paddle switch like you want, it also has a quick lever on the guard that lets you change the position of the guard in about 2 seconds. It seems to have plenty of power...at least considerably more than the 4 in. Makita that it replaced.
