I just bought my first tank of CO2 and i was wondering if it will freeze up my reg. "smith" on long beads???

Before I made a heated cover for my CO 2 flow meter, I got along quite well with a clamp-lamp fitted with a reflector spot bulb (85 watts) , I clipped it to the tank cart, and pointed it towards the valve and regulator.
It worked well.
Now I have an insulated cover around the regulator, with heat tape underneath, advantage of this is that I am no longer breaking light bulbs.
