Beautiful presentation of it! I would have been happier with matching radia on the gate top and the frame, but I'm just picky...Very nice work!! :)

Is that frame square section or "L". What equipment did you use to do the bends?

Call it a "Crescent Moon" fit. Nice place.

yes, I focused on the 'radia' also. The gas meter needs to be re-worked or bricked around or put in a hole. The scroll work looks Great, I've never seen them placed like that. Real Nice work!

the frame is 1"x1" 16 ga. tubing. I used a tubing roller from Neshanson to roll the arches and a scroll bender to do the scrolls.

I rather like the gas meter there! When I first noticed it, I thought it was Metal Art.. I'd feature it, not hide it! :)

Even something very simple. I am reminded of my years in the south (Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, where you saw the little cast iron stable boy horse tie-ups on the semi-circular drives....Now I know those figures are now considered racist, but I really don't think they were thought of that way, but rather "Old South", which carries with it a nostalgic elegance of the old plantations.

Oh, well...but too nice piece to hide. :o I suggest a design competition (contact local college art department...offer a $100.00 prize, with no obligation to use the winner's design).. It could all be done on the net, never disclosing the location. Use a clear picture of the entire meter unit, and make it clear the meter itself cannot be tampered with...you might want to run the idea past the local gas company first.
