Havn't posted in a LONG time.
Was contacted by a contractor customer from the lumber yard I manage, and have built several gate frames for.
Told me he had a 5' diam. fire pit in his back yard that is under a custom trellis he built, and wanted a hood to protect the structure.
After some preliminary drawings, and approval from his wife, this is what I came up with.
Taking a LOT longer than it should because of work schedual, taking care of the rental prop., and grandkid time.
Stands about 6 foot tall, six foot across. Six sided, with all the sheetmetal hand bent with a body hammer and straight edge. (my brake is only 30").
Should have it wrapped up this weekend.
It will be GREAT advertising, as the contractor uses his own residence as examples of what he builds for his own customers.
