I have been practicing my *** off on aluminum flat plate just running beads to learn pedal control. I am trying to go end to end without stopping to learn control. Plate is say 2x4 1/8 thick when I get near the end of the plate I try to ramp down amp input to control puddle size due to heat and keep same bead width and stack ( as in dimes) but the dime effect always seems to bunch up. Trying to keep weld bead symetrical or same throughout entire weld. I use a foot pedal am I best to stop and cool plate or am I not doing it right? Still or should I say always trying to learn.
