Nothing welded here but since my wife designed and built this planter I'm kinda proud of it.

She done the whole thing herself except for I routed the letters after she laid them out. She drew it out, bought her materials and built it. She scrounged up the 2x4's for the framing from around here. It's built solid as a rock and we had to move it in place with the tractor bucket.

I purposely let her do it all herself. Drives me nuts to watch her work. Had to buy her a tape measure with every 1/4" marked. I get dimensions of 3/4 and 2 lines when we work together. Says she don't know what the lines mean and doesn't really care. It irritates me that her stuff comes out more square than mine after I use every square I own and she just eyeballs her stuff.

Anyways I think it come out pretty good.

Pop, we had that name for our place about 7 years and I never thought of it that way. Maybe that's why everybody asks how we came up with it.

Actually it came from that our last name starts with a P and seems we always got a burn pile going. Buddy on the fire department nearby said they don't even look in our direction anymore.

Maybe that name is why those black helicopters fly over our pasture all the time. :D:eek:

Back in the day when I used consume a few more adult beverages than I shoulda I always had an excuse for my mistakes. Now it's just plain incompetence.

That sign looks good. What's next stainless or perhaps copper.. It don't have to be perfect, just as long as it looks it. Smokin Pot.? Hmmm I think Pops is onto something here.:p
