Don't know about that tool but I've plannished many feet of weld on .380 aluminum for Space Shuttle External Tank. Two man job.

My HF one worked like a champ on steel motorcycle parts (fender, headlight). I bought it use to form art pieces, but haven't done any yet. I'd think aluminum will be a cinch..but over-working it can cause embrittlement (I think:confused:).

These Harley fenders are heavy and thick! Front "Fork Strike" from a wrecked bike...

...and, after planishing for just a minute or two...

I forgot about this aluminum piece I plansihed. It was the gas tank- looking cover (the actual gas tank is down in the frame) from a Harley V Rod.

I used this as a sort of "turtle back" on the android M/C Rider on a bike I did for a Charity Auction benefitting the Burn Center at Brooks Army Medical Center.:)

AND GREAT WORK John

Thanks, Kevin!...I did that last year (..or was it the year before??)...and just came across that tank cover picture while creating folders to move my hundreds of photos into my ipod touch...which will replace my "never -up-to-date" photo book I've been lugging around.:)

They can be. I've gotten my thumb pinched a couple of times, but not with enough inertia in the big wheel to really pull it in. Good thing too, cuz it was painful enough just getting a "little" pinch.

Man, that's gonna be neat! It seems like I learn something new every time I try to put some shape into a sheet of metal. Everything I've done is in steel, though, as it tends to move slower. It takes a little longer for me to really screw it up, so I have time to catch my mistake and reverse it. Now that you've mentioned these, you'll have to post some pics. We're all here for the pics!
