i borrowed a cyl from a friend its stainshield universal he gave me the wrong cyl can it be used on sheetmetal. im putting a patch panel on a jeep i tried to find what percentage of helium is in it but no luck just wondering if i should even bother firing up the garage furnace to try it out. opinions?

just so you know ive read threads on tri mix but there are several variations of tri mix just cant find the universal stats. im not to good on computers so i do what i can, and all im doing is butt joint 24g sheetmetal on a jeep, fluxcore 030 a little hot even with copper backer its just pull trigger let cool stitch, but with gas and 023 itll be a little cooler. being laid off trying to cut corners

0.030" flux core will give you too much penetration.

don't know the mix of stainshield. I'm guessing it's meant for stainless. It should work albeit run a little hot. ar/co2 is what is prefered for thin guage 90/10 or so

24ga is real thin. I tig that stuff

well i got 023 and gas c25, copper backer helped ,it all worked out, most of the steel was about 19g but the thin spots with my hh187 i used 1/30 and it worked great
