I AM A AUTO MECHANIC AND I NEED A WELDER THAT CAN WELD FRAMES, EXHAUST SYSTEMS, AND MISC. METALS. IS THE TIG WELDER FOR ME?

Actually, you could use both a Tig machine and MIG machine. TIG for the lighter stuff, and MIG for the heavy stuff. You'll get a lot of feed back on this question, so hang for awhile.:)

Mig is more widely used in the auto industry Big John, unless you plan on welding aluminum parts regularly. Tig is great on aluminum castings and such but mig is so much faster and more convenient for exhaust, frames, floors and bodywork.
