hahaha that's pretty good....Yeah I guess so...You gotta have confidence on thin aluminum that's for sure....The customer just kept saying "Dude just make sure you don't burn a hole in that tube" Hahahah I just laugh at those guys and love to call them about 15 minutes after they leave and say "Bro we have a problem" and they say did you burn a hole in that tube? I say no I have to go get a haircut and I'll finish this later...hahahah

Yeah, that thin stuff is a little tricky. This is a sample from a cert that I took a few years ago. .032 tube to .032 plate.

Dang,

Now some imposter is trying to tell us all that Pangea welded aluminum in AC.:D

The smallest aluminum filler I have is .060 but I think if I'm going to be doing this thin stuff i'm going to get some thinner filler what do you use Dave?

Wow really....Never anything smaller huh? I was thinking maybe .045 might be better for this thin stuff... I used a 1/16 tungsten and small std.cup and it worked pretty good except for the filler size being a little large....Just wanted the filler to melt a little sooner that the parent metal was.....

Like Mathew Quigley said about using a pistol. "Never said Icouldn't use one".

Do you have to give up your man card if you weld Alum with AC?

If so, I hereby surrender my man card..... :o

No.......Don't think so? I only use DC- when the difference in thickness is an issue.....Or I need a VERY small bead on thick material......Clearance problems
