started with a 50 gal drum , split it about middle , used the top for the bottom stand , it will hold about 25 gal(?) the pump is a sump pump that will branch off into two different pipes one with a garden hose end the other wit be solid 1" shooting at a angle toward the center , so far i have 0 dollars into it , after widening the top so the lid would fit i used split hose for the top as it was VERY SHARPE here are the pictures so far , commits and suggestions welcome

Just wondering if that pump and hose will be able to handle the solvent? PVC (I think that is what most hoses are made of) is not rated for fuel and oil resistance. I know plenty of people have siphoned gas with garden hose, but that is pretty short contact. Maybe copper/steel pipe and fuel hose where you need flexibility or you can just replace it as it goes as long as it doesn't melt into a gooey mess. You could just test some of your hose by putting it in a jar with the intended solvent and see what happens after several days.

no solvent here , either simple green or dawn and water , easer to dispose of . still must build something to put pump up about 2" to keep crud out of it . than i need to build (or steal from wife) something to hold the small parts .

SHD - Just a thought. Check your local Dollar Store. They have a product called "Awesome" cleaner. It is some of the best stuff I've found for cleaning grease off steel. Cheap too - 1 dollar a bottle.

My wife found that stuff a few years back and you are right. She uses it for about everything. ****, even the plastic spray bottle it comes in seems to last forever. I use an old empty bottle to keep my phosphoric acid in. They hold up for about a year even with acid in them and by some miracle spray perfectly right till the end. Windex and the rest must design their to crap out as soon as the product is gone. Score another one for the Dollar Store.
