Just saw this today. TSC has the Hobart XVP hood for 50.00 says available at select stores. I just bought mine two weeks ago and thought I got a bargain at 90.00.

I paid $100 for mine and also thought it was a good deal! I just called to find out if there are any local here. I could always use a spare...or two!

on edit: just got a call back. They have only 1 in the whole district. It will be to my local store on Monday for $49.99 and no tax in NH!

Thanks for the lead!

Not to hijack, but went to my local TSC today looking for some special screws (which they didn't have) and while roaming around in the store, I came upon a small shelf section with everything marked clearance. This used to be in the center of the store, and I thought they had done away with it.

Anyhoo, I scored a #2 rosebud tip for my Harris torch, normally $59.99 for $4.49. That's right 4 dollars and 49 cents. Brand new, never been opened. Fortunately, I already have large enough tanks to use it.

I also picked up a 6000lb rated 14ft. tow rope with hooks on it for $2.49 (normally $19.99) and a claw type pick up tool (normally $4.99) for $.25.

They didn't have any of the helmets, however.

Guess I'll have to keep checking back there more often. Can't wait until they clearance the HH187 and HH210.:D

I went to my local store and the lady I spoke with did a search for the whole region and found 1 appx. 20 miles up the road. Called them up and they couldn't find it! I went and looked myself and couldn't find it either. Oh well, would have been a sweet deal!

I gave it one last shot this past Sat. and talked to a lady at my local TSC. She tracked a hood down for me and it arrived today! Receipt rang up for 49.99 and stated that it was 219.99!!

If anybody else is interested in doing some digging, my local TSC had to start looking for the sku # outside of the district, then I had to call the store manager at the other store and ask him if he would do a store transfer to my local TSC, which the nice lady was happy to provide. She made it sound like the other store could do it, but didn't have to. Fortunately the guy was more than willing to ship it over. It didn't take but 5-10 minutes for my local store to locate one.

Good luck!!

I picked up mine the other day. It is my spare now, sitting on top of the toolbox. Great deal. Thanks for the heads up!

Darn, I jumped all over that one, calling two different stores before being told that it was for a limited time in JUNE only. Then I checked the dates of the posts. I'm always a day late, and 99 cent short. But that was a good deal.
