Hi to all been working on my wifes 2004 freestar ford van does anybody know where the orfice tube is on the ac system the auto store told me where it was and it was not where thay said it was, i know this is ot . I would rather be welding but you know how the honey do list go. Thanks john

According to what I can find, it should be in the evap inlet tube. You should be able to see a change in diameter or maybe a crimped spot in the inlet tube 3 or 4 inches after the fitting. Ford tends to use garter type fittings. To help, follow the line from the condenser to the evap. If the system is still charged and works at all, you'll be able to feel a temperature difference there.
edit: looks like this one may be a flare fitting instead of a garter.
