Hi,
I need to make an aluminum box that is 33 inches wide by 15 deep by 15 tall. What do I use to bend the metal for this? I'm googling pan and box brakes, but it appears they have a limitation of only a few inches.
Thanks

There are brakes made for this purpose all over the fabrication industry but depending on the gauge metal you're bending, get real expensive real fast.
Without knowing the metal thickness and type (ie..6061, 3003, etc...) you're working with, it's hard to offer much help.

That's odd...all box brakes I have seen will do a lot more than that.
check this one http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_7825_7825 OOpps I just noticed it say 3" depth....You may have to weld it out of plate.

Why would you buy a brake to bend one box? I'd shear the parts and weld them before I'd pay all that money for a brake.

i would try to go to a local sheet metal shop to get it bent. They will do it for you while you wait in most cases and wont charge you much. Another alternitive is to use some angle iron to bend it. Where are you located?
Yeah sheet metal shop for sure...I get all my tanks bent up at a local shop with a press brake.....And you wouldn't want to buy one of those they are big bucks.....
