Maybe this would be better asked in the alloys forum, but This morning I bought an old Ideal electric die filing machine from a fellow and at the same time a cardboard tube with a couple dozen steel rods in it of various sizes. There was a tag on some of them from Teledyne Pittsburg Tool Steel and the grade is marked 'WARPLIS' anybody have an idea what this steel is?
Thanks

Entered Warplis steel in the Google search engine and it spit this right out. Should answer your question.

Ditto that! I'd love to have one. (That and a dozen other machines...)
