lincoln 225 g7 idler/ charger board

I have a lincoln welder w/ a bad idler charger board part # L7607-2. Lincoln says this part is obsolete and no longer available. The idler part still works. My question is does anyone out there have a good board for this machine? Or should I remove the charging circuit from the machine and have the engine charge the battery from the mag? Any thoughts?

I'm not familiar with the board. Is it potted closed or does it have exposed components? If it has exposed components it can probably be repaired or duplicated.
