I switched from a F150 to a F250 to haul my Miller Trailblazer. I just had 2 knee surgeries and wanted full use if the tailgate step so I build a work table surface on the new truck and wanted to minumize space it took up so here is what I came up with. I operate it up and down with a 3000# winch

Pretty slick idea!

looks great. hopefully it doesn't cut down on your gas mileage too badly, with the extra air resistance. it probably won't, it doesn't rise that far above the walls of the truck bed.

Have not seen ant difference in mileage. Actually it gets 14 in town with or without it has the 6.4 dual turbo diesel. I was worried at first but absolutely no change in mileage

be glad you got the diesel. I have the same truck with the V10 and it does really bad with fuel mileage. 10 in town,, 13 on interstate..
