I just purchased a HH187.
Now I'm deciding on which gas to get.
The portable CO2 kit, looks almost too good to pass up.

But, I've read CO2 conducts heat better than C25.

I plan on doing mostly body work on my IH Scout. (20 GA to 14 GA)
Which route would you recommend? CO2, or C25 or Other?

Thanks,
Dan

You get less spatter and less penetration with the C25. All good things for automotive body work. If all you are doing is automotive sheetmetal, it is recommended. Is it necessary, no. You can get good results with straight C02, but where optimal results are required and time is money, use the mixture.

Dan,

Pass on the COČ. For your application C-25 is most definitely the better choice.

Along with C25, I'd use .023" wire and tips.

Then a spool of .035" with CO2 kit for the thicker stuff.
