I just bought my welder and have heard that 20cf gives you around an hour of "playtime" and that 90cf gives you 5-7hrs. I have found a couple 160cf on one of the local craigslist for a pretty low price (or so it seems). My questions are:

Is there a chart anywhere showing how much a full tank in different cf's weigh? I want something I can pick up and manage.

I read on here about stamps around the cylinders--owning versus leasing--can anyone post up a picture or something or help me to know how to identify this before I go look at some secondhand cylinders?

If you own a cylinder from one large welding company will another company fill it?

Usually the largest owner cylinder is a 125 but it depends on the area. A LWS will not refill another LWS's cylinder.

I have an 80 and I am going to get a 125 for pure argon, both of these sizes can be easy to carry.

I own (2) 336 cu. ft. cylinders. One is argon and the other is c25. I like the larger cylinders because they last a long time. Portability is not a factor for me. The welding suppliers in this area will not fill any cylinder that is not theirs.

If you own your bottles and the welding suppliers in the area will not fill any bottle that is not theirs, where do you get "your" bottles filled?

Have they never required refilling?
