I saw them at the Crawford Auto Museum in Cleveland, Ohio a few years ago. The parts must have been hand welded on the seams with a torch, the filler just doesn't quite match the panels. It was a great welding job as i remember some seams that were a 1/2" wide and the panels were straight. There was a DeLorean there also but everyone knows they are a fake SS car since there is a fiberglass body underneath the stainless. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Lorean_DMC-12 ...Bob

I was not aware that the DeLorean has a 'glass underbody. Thought the body was all stainless. Weird...

Read somewhere that the original design of the DeLorean was copied from the Bricklin SV-1 - the head designer for DeLorean was also the designer of the Bricklin.

Shortly after Bricklin when out of business, my (future) wife wanted to buy one. The credit union would not approve the loan because they had no idea what a Bricklin was, or how much it was worth.

I have a buddy who is a car dealer in Buffalo NY who has two of them that he got in a deal a while ago. He always refers to them as the "kitchen sinks"
