The grill I scored for $5.00...

has gone through disassembly, and now I began another little car this morning. So far, I have bent a broiler pan in my metal brake, then leaned it at the 'right' angle, marked a couple BBQ hood pieces that I cut with my plasma to match that 'lean angle', and have tacked it together. Here I have posed a couple old 4 barrel carbs, topped with a couple Harley Air Filter covers. I can see "headers" made from some of my MANY Harley exhausts protruding out the sides...or maybe Zoomie Stacks!
I have all the pieces to complete the 'blank' headlight (FXR or Sportster), but might put a pair of the 7" Fat Boy Lights on...which I also have in my stacks. I have a number of Harley shocks to choose from to build up a front suspension. I might use chrome spoked 16" MC wheels and tires for this one (I have them), but I'll have to see if they "fit" the final body...'might be too large.:) I have lots of fun doing these little cars and motorcycles!!

You absolutely must hide a small propane burner or torch head in the exhaust, so it can be used to roast hot dogs and marshmallows! :D

I can tell this one is going to be great (as usual).

I did fab up a hood a few minutes ago, and set it on to see if I liked it or not. It is also stainless, but has to be cleaned up. (the grill is still bright, it just looks dark in this picture).:) I might leave the hood, but hinge it to one side, to where it could be lifted to reveal a fake motor...on which I might go 8 'stacks' (ala Hilborn) instead of the 4 bbls...or cut out a hole for them to poke through...but I never really know what's next!!

Today gets cut short by a social function I'm attending (playing Dobro with a string group), but I did piece in some sides (the thick lips will be trimmed back with my plasma when I get the body finished), and am trying to decide on the exact ****pit length I want before tacking the louvered "trunk lid" in place, then fitting some scraps in to fill in the sides.. I plan on making the dash from the control panel on the BBQ. I hope there's enough SS to do seats, but if not, I'll come up with something! :)

This morning I bent some Harley handlebar pieces for upper and lower control arms, braced a pair of Harley shocks and wheels against it to "consider"...haven't made up my mind on those wheels, yet...

'35- '36 Auburn, sorta? Or should I saw Aww-Burn, considering the part source?

That's the windshield shape I'm planning to do...a "DuVall type", but mine will be more 'chopped'.

Of course, I"m nowhere near old enough to know anything about an Auburn Speedster or what they look like. 'Course not. I did once live next door to a family whose uncle owned several of the old Locomobile race cars. Now those were weird.
