Just got done with a cart for my Hobart Handler 140. Nothing to special, somewhat similar to the cart I made for my Pro-MIG 175. My favorite color, flat black:cool:. Got to use my bead roller for the trays which is neat, but I have some more work to on that HF roller to get it up to snuff.

Time for pics....

Now all I need to do is sew up a dust cover for it and I'll be set.

OUT STANDING JOB!!!!!! if i didn't know better i would have though it was store bought. If you can keep the cost down i am sure you could find a market for your cart because it is far and away much nicer than anything a guy buying a new welder could buy from the LWS for his new mig welder.

Nice job! real professional! How did you round the corners on the square tube?

I was waiting for someone to ask that:cool:. I went here:

http://www.rbwagner.com/pages/Rbwagner.html

Wagner, they make raw components for handrails. You can buy all sorts of pieces of tubing shapes in most materials. Steel, Stainless, Brass, Aluminum, you can get t's, y's, elbows... goes on and on. Awhile back I bought a bunch of various sizes and radius's of tube elbows just for projects like this.

Here's the square tube elbow section:

And here's the overall tubing section. Great if you don't have a tube bender, and the prices are reasonable.

That is very nice! It'll be my first project soon as well. Do you have a braking caster on it?

Nice job!:)

That's what so great about these forums, I never knew that anybody made those corners. Opens up a lot of ideas.

I wonder where some of the guys get tubing plugs.

Nice looking cart! I always like a cart that isn't just some angle cut and stuck together to form a box with wheels.

I didn't see any elbows on the linked pages that had a radius that was half the tubing dimension, though. I always cut a radius on the end and bend the sides over it, but elbows could be easier.

Dave

edit: Sorry, I didn't click through enough pages before, but I found the corners now. http://www.wagnercompanies.com/site/Viewer.aspx?iid=2456&mname=Article&rpid=553

Nice job!:)

...

I wonder where some of the guys get tubing plugs.

I can get them at my metal supply place, but I don't use them, I design stuff so that I don't need them.

Wow - very nice! I like the design. I'll have to base mine (whenever I get around to building it) on yours (minus the fancy rounded corners heh heh).

Extremely professional! :)

Sorry for the delayed response, Ike did some nasty damage in this area, and I just now got internet back. What a horror that was. Anyways, no, I didn't put a braking caster on it, but they have them in this size so it is an option.
