I bought a bottle of trimix about three months back to use on my stainless steel boat rails. 90H/7.5A/2.5CO2
I have since purchased a Tig machine and have decided to tig the stainless. I took the unused trimix bottle back to the supplier where I bought it and inquired about exchanging it for C25 for use with my MM210 when welding mild steel.
Even though the trimix bottle has never been used they refused to exchange it and suggested I use it up with my MM210 in place of C25. They said they would have to drain my bottle of the trimix gas even though it had never been used, then do an even exchange for my bottle and charge me for the new C25gas.
My question is that I have searched the net high and low and cannot find any reference to people using trimix for mild steel. Is it useable for mild steel with my mig?
Thanks for the replies..
