I was just looking for ideas about how to construct a stand for my 14" B&D chopsaw and found this http://www.metalwebnews.com/howto/chopsaw/sawtable.html

Now that's a Chopsaw stand...complete with pics & plans & parts list,from 2001

You could build just the stand and add the supports later or one at a time.

I just thought someone might like it.:D

Thanks for posting this. I saw a similar one on another site. My guess is this is where he got the idea or plans. I've thought about building one for my dewalt miter saw for work. It's nice to have the materials list to work from.

It's a lot of stand for a home shop,but would be great for a production situation where you need to cut a lot of 20' material. The best part of the unit is the ability to swivel the saw itself instead of man-handling the material to make angle cuts,just a much more logical design.

I'll probably build a scaled down version with just 1-2 rollers for support since the design can always be added to if the situation arises for the added length.
