Anyone have the specs for the ThermalDynamics CutMaster 50?
I found one for sale that I'm thinking about buying.

Thanks.

Jeff,
Not sure what you're looking for, I've owned one for several years now,
it's been a good unit.
Basic specs from the manual....20-40 amps output, input required
is 42amps at 230 volts, duty cycle is 40% at 40 amp output.
They list cut capacity as 1/2in with what they refer to as a
genuine cut. I'd say this is true, with fresh tips it will do 1/2in
steel pretty clean. Specs say max is 3/4in, you can eventually
gnaw through something that thick, but it's a real poor edge.
3/8ths steel and under is what I use mine for most of the time.
Anything thicker that needs a real good edge goes into the
bandsaw ( if it will fit).
It has been a good investment for me and I've never had a problem
with it. Sometimes it will sit for a week unused and other times
cuts a bunch of stuff. Great to to have when you need it.

Edit....I remember paying about $1600 for it new in maybe 2003.

Also the size unit I'm needing.
Thanks. Jeff

I also have a Cutmaster 50 which i've used for several years. It is a very good machine, easy on consumables, but I wouldn't expect a really clean cut over 1/4". I paid about $1400.
