Rather than guess at what you have and how to do it, why don't you tell us what TIG you are trying to hook up to what welder? Do you have a torch with its own gas valve? Is it air-cooled?

You will want the torch on the negative lead and the work clamp on the positive lead.

You need to run straight polarity. the positive needs to be hooked to the ground and the ground to the torch what i do it switch the leads right at the welder that way the ground becomes positive and the+ becomes ground

still should have gotten more than a small spark even with the polarity reversed, maybe a switch somewhere? Remote control?

Instead of making everyone guess what you have going on there:confused:
Why don't you go to your welding supply and get an illustrated parts break down or instruction manual.....Might be easier than hooking it up wrong and frying your machine/torch etc....
