After weeks of exhausting reading and asking questions on here, I finally decided to upgrade my current Stickmate 235 AC machine to the AC/DC model. Before getting it, I decided to build a little cart for it.

Materials used:
1 1/4" sq. tubing 14 gauge
5/8" sucker rod
3/16" sheet
1/8" sheet

I waited a few weeks and got a 'decent' deal on the AC/DC at my local Tractor Supply, they had the Hobart on site demo truck out there displaying the welders and plasma cutters for everyone to try out. Any Hobart purchase that day was 10% off.

Thanks to Rocky, Whatego, Hank, 556man and everyone else for the ideas and answering all my questions on here.

:DMan I do like the looks of your Stickmate AC/DC cart! What does the Stickmate 235 weight? I might build something like this for my Idealarc 250.
Neato!

Be Cool!

I have both a Stickmate 235 AC and an Idealarc. I can pick the stickmate up and move it easily. Just thinking about picking up the Idealarc makes my back go out. Northern Tools gives a ship weight of 89 lbs. for the stickmate.

kc5ngx,

Thanks for the good words. Both the AC and AC/DC have the exact same dimensions H: 18 3/4" W: 12 3/4" D: 17 1/2" but when you go to pick 'em up, instantly the difference is felt! The AC is about 85 lbs and the AC/DC 105 lbs. (extra 20 lbs of AC converter I believe).
