Forgive my asking, but I am not a weldor by training, trade, or serious results. I am an engineer, but what is an engineering material?

Forgive my asking, but I am not a weldor by training, trade, or serious results. I am an engineer, but what is an engineering material?

plans, designs, specifications, documents, manuals, reference
books, catalogs, text books, and of course, huge piles of
power point presentations?

so i guess one would use staples and scotch tape :-)

Sorry, your question needs more detail. I have welded from engineering drawings for 50 years, I can also draw them. Don't be afraid to go into detail,...there is no such thing as a dumb question, here. Sometimes you need to say the same thing in different ways for us to understand what you mean. That's just the nature of typing and reading.
