...I just wanted to report tha after breaking the rack on my 16 speed Central Machinery drill press, I decided to call HF and see if parts were available. After a 25 minute wait on the phone, I talked to the rep and he said the rack was 6-8 weeks from China and the collar that secures the rack at the top is available locally.

I bought two racks for 12.00 and one collar for 8.00.

My thought is to shorten the rack which broke to about 24" long and use the second collar to secure the the bottom since I never lower the table to the ground. I bought two racks just in case I need another one.

Honestly, I was very surprised that parts were available.

I got a parts washer from them from my wife for Valentine's day last year. Finally got a spot in the shop for it this month, set it up, and the pump wouldn't draw. No receipt. Drove down there to see what they could do for me, and the said "No problem sir. Leave that one here (the pump), and we'll open a box for a replacement."

Can't ask better than that!

Is the new pump any better? I opened mine up and found that the pickup was mounted half way up inside the housing and the problem was that you really had to have at least 8-9 gallons sitting in the tank for it to even think about covering the pickup, and if you pulled it off the side of the tank and dipped it down in the tank it would start.

I ended up cutting the mount out and flipping the pump around in the housing to get it to work with less fluid in it.
