Would you consider the Ellis 1600 saw an "industrial" workhorse for full time fab business I am thinking of starting or would one higher dollar be the ticket.

Money is a factor but do not want to buy twice.

Does anyone know of their quality/cu. service.

Thanks in advance

Hey, John.

Ellis is among the top saw manufacturer in all respects. I've never owned one, but I've seen them in places where they wouldn't be if Ellis wasn't a good machine.

Most notably, all three of the steel suppliers in the area around me have Ellis saws!

Hank.

I bought an Ellis 1600 used last year that hadn't been taken care of. One call to Ellis support had the parts I needed to rebuild the saw on the way and they arrived later that week. Kinda pricey but they had what I needed in stock, (no waiting for a slow boat from China, India or some such)
and shipped that day. Pleasant and knowledegable on the phone.

...plus lots of the parts can be found locally at your local hardware store. I have never heard or read a bad thing about them.
